The free membership printable this week is spring bird color sorting for color recognition and fine motor development. Print the patterns on cardstock paper and cut out and laminate. I have included color squares that you can print and laminate as well.
The color squares can be attached to the color board using velcro. There are twelve color cards with six places for the squares. You can cut off the bottom row of three if you only wanted to do a three square match.
If you did not want to use the matching color squares you could also use buttons ... or other objects that are the same colors as the cards. You can find the buttons that we use for different activities here.
You can download the patterns below until April 26th. After that date they will only be available in the member's section which is also where I have added spring bird sliders.

I made spring tracing sheets which are great for fine motor development and pre-writing skills. You can print the patterns on regular or cardstock paper and use crayons ... markers ... colored pencils ... or q-tips dipped in paint to trace the lines.
The patterns come with both black dashed lines as well as gray and there are two different tracing levels for each pattern included. Children can color the the tracing sheets when they are done tracing for added fine motor practice.

I made a tooth fairy color words match. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and laminated them. There are three different pattern sets included with this download. The first one is the color cards with the color names already on them. Children can put the same color objects on the cards (we use buttons) or if you make two sets of the patterns you can clip the same color cards together.
The second patterns are color cards without the color names. As with the color cards with the color words already printed on them these cards can be clipped together (make two copies) or the same color objects can be placed on top.
The third set of patterns are the color cards with a blank space on them and the color word strips. I attached velcro to the back of the color words and to the front of the color cards. Children choose a card and find the color word strip and attach it to the card.

I made a penguin and heart color match. There are two different activities included in this file. The first one is matching the hearts to the same color penguins.
I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and laminated them and then attached velcro to the blank heart on each penguin card and also to all twelve of the color hearts. Children pick a penguin card and then find the same color heart and place it on top of blank heart. If you do not want to use velcro you can also clip the heart and penguins cards together with a mini clothes pin.
For the second activity make two copies of the color penguins with the pink hearts ... cut out and laminate them. Children find the two penguin cards with the same color and clip them together with a mini cloths pin. To make this activity self checking children clip the cards together back to back so the same color is shown on each side.
